About the project
This is my formal response to the beauty of the memory and emotions. The collection is about the contrast, of lights and shadows, of the softness and the strength.
The collection is monochromatic white color. Bags here become sculp- tures which are outlines of the shape of the bow. I want to use bow in the way not only as the trimming component. Instead, it now becomes the central part to turn bag itself into sculpture.
Year: 2018
Thanks to the artwork of the artist Jeannine Marchand, “Folds”, I can de- liver the idea of the strong contrast of the light and the shadow. By applying the finished form of the famous Furoshiki fabric wrapping technique, I could express the contrast of the strength and the softness, the purity and the complexity which I mentioned above.
All bags are handcrafted and hand sewn to create the unique and personal look.
