Ruler and compass

With ruler and compass, I create circles that convey an idea of perfection and wholeness, a microcosm of the infinite, which ‘should be regarded as a new world’. The color white is chosen for its purity and metaphysical qual- ity. It seems out of keeping with the reality of world events. 

 But despite all that, these objects can be viewed as symbols of hope and clarity: moments of glimpsed unity, hermetically sealed within their frames, set against the chaos of the time. Infinity is something we are all seeking - an ideal that is complete, without beginnings or ends and gives to all things forever.
